Sheree K. Rabon is an American visual artist working primarily in oil and mixed media. Her practice is rooted in intuition, material exploration, and formal balance, producing works that emphasize perception, presence, and continuity. Rabon’s paintings often engage symmetry, repetition, and restrained gesture, allowing surface and structure to guide meaning rather than narrative explanation. Her work spans intimate studies and large-scale compositions, unified by a contemplative approach that invites sustained looking and quiet engagement.

My work is an act of reclamation—of self, of essence, of time lived and felt. Through painting, I return to what is mine: presence, intuition, and the quiet authority of my own voice.
Working primarily in oil and mixed media, I allow gesture, texture, and repetition to guide the process rather than a predetermined narrative. The surface becomes a site of listening, where marks are layered, revised, and sometimes restrained. What emerges is not explanation, but recognition.
Reclamation, for me, is not about repair—it is about remembering. Each painting holds space for that remembering to occur, both for myself and for the viewer, asking only for attention and presence.

Each work begins with intention and intuition. Layers build slowly through considered mark-making.
Mixed media allows textural experimentation. Acrylics, metallics, and glazes create depth. The process is both planned and spontaneous.
